Anti-VD campaigner Ettie Rout photographed with a group of New Zealand, Australian, French and British troops outside Maxime's Bar, Paris, France in August, 1918. Along with her work in Egypt and the United Kingom she also set up a social and sexual welfare service for ANZACs in France, giving them advice on “safe brothels” of which she had inspected herself as the Medical Corps refused to do this.
